As we drive north from Tel Aviv to Caesarea we travel through the Plain of Sharon. The locals like to pronounce it Share-own with the accent on the 2nd syllable. Feels nice on the tongue doesn't it?
Remember the song with the line, "Jesus, Rose of Sharon"? That's right where we are.
Row crops, oleander, and orchards abound on this little, narrow strip of land.
It reminds me of the Willamette Valley in Oregon.
This plain that runs north-south along the Mediterranean Sea is easily the most fertile (most important) in Israel.
And Jesus is easily the most important person.

He is the most important! Do you think Jesus ever got passed by a bus while trying to take a picture?
